Hi everyone.
For an animation project I am working on, I would like to simulate a press conference at a Town Hall. For that it would be nice to make it sound like the place is crowded, people talking at the same time, things like that...
I am not sure if this would work or not, but I had this idea of asking you people to talk randomly and record your voice. It doesn't matter if there is static. If I have many random voices I will try to mix everything with Audacity and see what I can come up with.
In order to do this I have created an email: gipsygoanimate@gmail.com where you can send me a file with your voice talking "randomly". If you want me to mention you in the credits, include in the message your Goanimate username. If you don't want to use your real email, that's completely fine, and I even prefer it that way, so you can use any "disposable" email you want (just search disposable email and you'll get a few ones).
If you don't know what to say you can try these lines (but there is no need to say these, you can say whatever you want, as long as you're not insulting anyone, and things like that):
"Mr. Graham, Mr. Graham, one question please"
"We thought there wasn't money for that!"
"A new group? I thought Superbeings were gone for good!"
"Where is the Major?"
"They are late as usual"
I await your voices!
There are also some good "crowd" noises under the IMPORT button on the web. I was listening to a few just a few days ago. There is a technical term for that sound that SFX guys use but I forget what it is!
@christlin: thank you, it was neat.
@footsocktoe: thanks a lot, i didn't know there is a thechnical term for it. Anyways, I wanted to give it a try and see what I could come up with, kind of a challenge to myself.

I love to. but I don't know if I have the right program. do you know any so I can send my voice to you?
any program that lets you record voice would do. I use Audacity which is free and very complete.
Found the term! It's called "walla"...
