From my understand you won't lose the character, you just won't be able to publish any animations that include the character. It Should be waiting for you if you ever become goplus again. There is no way to delete Characters. Even the site admins can't do it.

what do you do if you were a go+ member and you make a chibi ninja character then your membership runs out?
