If you get enough of them in a short space of time on your latest animation they'll put you on the Top Animations page. But also people who recommend your animation have it's thumbnail show up in their recommends on their profile page. So it's another way of getting your work seen (and why it's important to have an eye catching thumbnail image).
Not sure if you get points or XP for being recommended but I think you get points for recommending other people's animations.
and it helps get ur works known too the cummunity cause let's say if u reccomemded a video of mine, and many people watch animations u reccomend. since u reccomended a video, it gets popular cause a popular guy liked it.
Is the only way to get XP is by badges? Oh, and back to the point. You can get a low level "Supporter" badge for recommending. The Comedian badge is for a video with a CW character and 20 recommendations.
yeah...i just realized the "thumbnail thing" not too long ago. But sometimes it's not my fault, honestly :O! Sometimes when I publish an animation and I choose a thumbnail it never does it, it just goes back to the first scene and does that one...it would usually take me about 5-10 times of going back into the studio and changing it and THEN waiting at least a good 15-30 minutes for it to change....
@LörÐ §ðr¢êr¥ ... the thumbnails only update every 15 minutes. If you change it then it will be changed, but you will have to wait 1 to 15 minutes before you see the change.
I agree with the thumbnail thing, but it is nice to know it eventually updates. Recommends are great ways to make friends here. We all have our own criteria for Recommending animations. Some are very strict about giving them, and it makes seeing one from them as a mark of achievement. Others, give them as encouragement, and that is always nice to get, too. Most of the animators here enjoy getting the recommendations because it shares the love. In turn we want to know you and recommend your videos or at least leave a comment.
