I really like that you can watch Kirk's face in the opening scene in the background and know his predicament just from his changing facial expressions. Love the thread of the story having to do with the ingested tasties having side affects - it's really cool because it feels like very grounded in reality, like our own planet's obsession with consuming and the sugar trade etc. I feel like an alien invasion could come in the form of a new dietary snack with a  "mysterious additive." Great episode!
