funny intro; nice voice work, although second rocque--nothing personal, pilbert; but I’m finding the interview genre/format less and less entertaining, and have to concur with my fellow animators about the lack of originality or repetition in the interview questions…but to make my criticism constructive, I offer some suggestions for future interviews, whether yours or another’s.
personally, i don’t so much want to hear about how an interviewee discovered or joined GA, their favorite video or animator or other related issues, as I do about life apart from GA or the impact and use of animation in other areas of their life…or even better, something unexpected and compelling. here are but a few ideas:
Q re: profession: what is your profession/occupation? do you use animation in your professional life, and if so how? or, does animation influence you professionally (e.g., the way you think, do things, etc.) or play a role in your professional life? if given the opportunity, would you work full-time as an animator? why or why not?
Q re: personal: how much of a role does animation play in your personal life? or, how much time do you spend animating per week? are you addicted to animating? does animation affect your personal relationships? for the better or worse? what is it you enjoy most about animating? least? what do you like doing besides animating or, what other things do you do for fun?
Q re: intrigue: have one of your videos ever got you in trouble? tell us about it. or, have one of our videos ever won you someone’s love, admiration, respect, etc.? tell us about it. or, have you ever used a video to bully or harass or hurt someone else? tell us about it?
Q re: psychological: has animation affected the way you feel about yourself or the way others perceive you? explain. do your videos reflect real life events, relationships, feelings, etc.? describe. is animating cathartic? how closely does your GA persona represent your real life personality? etc.
Everyone asks who is your favorite. Maybe ask who inspires you on GA? The sound quality was a bit rough but with this and Banji's interviews and the cooperation of the people being interviewed it will only make everyone more "real".
You did a great job on this, buddy. It's always good to hear what other animators have to say.
Wonderful interviews you had going on. Great to hear from TET, ELIS, and J Files! Especially with voice overs. I like what you did with your new stage, and I am digging this new band of yours you decided to add into your show. Great choice! Fantastic job!
Good show! I enjoyed hearing the voices of those three animators, and yours too! :D
great interviews...
and very enjoyable show...
Great episode Pilbert! 3 of the best animators on the site, what a score! Every talk show has a band so I like the addution of the band. I always learn something from your interviews. Tonight I learned not to use TET's head to represent him ever again! ;) LOL!
I am very concerned about the juices that are flowing fom my good friend ELIS! You need to get a doctor to check that out man?! LOL!!!!
Nice job dude. I really liked the band. It was very creative. :)
Nice episode Pilbert. But I have to agree with ELIS. Pay attention to your props ;)
favorite episode of PilbertTV Nightside? The one where you interviwed Commedus! :D
What I think about your band? I think it's awesome! Try to put that into a music video or something! :D
That was great and I am honoured to have been interviewed with TET and J-Files, two fantastic members of our community. It is always great to hear about other animators. Loved the tree you used to represent the one from my profile pic.
Two suggestions. Watch your props. My eyes and mouth appear on the outside as the curtain comes down. (Although I liked this.) Also near the end when the ipad enlarges all the coffee cups appear on it. Click on these props and send them backwards. Also try and put our names in the title you can shorten etourists to TET and mine to ELIS. I think you will get more viewers that way.
As to your final questions, naturally this is my favorite ep. of Pilbert TV. But they were all enjoyable, except for that one with that Wizard guy. What's his name again? Comedyus, No, that's not it. Comodeus/ NO, ah yeah Commedus. Hey my friend you know I had to put this in here. ;) Back to the questions. Yes, I dug the Band.
Looking forward to the next one.
