I mean, is Go!Animate well in business? Do they make a lot of money? I wanna make sure they are doing good because I don't want them to end up like Xtranormal and decide to shut down or anything. I would be ASHAMED if something bad were to happen to this wonderful site! So please, tell me, how well does Go!Animate do in the business?
urg..... i think there doing good..
That isn't any of our business.
Did Xtranormal shut down? In that case, GoAnimate is doing even better than before since that was a competitor!
footsocktoe is right.
It is a fair question. There is nothing wrong with knowing how a company is doing when you are investing your time and money into it. I don't know if GoAnimate is Incorporated, but company income is public information if you can find it.
@footsocktoe- Xtranomral didn't shut down. Yet. It says on their site that they're shutting down on July 31st, 2013. It stinks. :(
Urg... I hope thst doesn't happen to GOA....
@SuperMario1234... There are only two reasons that anyone starts up a web site. Either they want to provide a free service or they hope to eventually make money from it. I doubt if the goal of the Xtranormal people was to provide a free service. So they have decided that they will never be able to make any money from it and they are moving on to other projects that have a better chance of success.
Could that happen to GoAnimate? Sure, but not if we all encourage people to join and, even more important, encourage them to become Go Plus. The more paying GoAnimators there are then the more likely it is the site can last.
Xtranormal isn't shutting down permanently. Reading their blog they've finally realized their current business model isn't sustainable and are shutting things down so they can re-evaluate how to move forward.
That aside, GoAnimate making all their action packs free is possibly a good sign that the company is doing well. GoAnimate's inroads into schools and business has also given it an edge over competitors too.
Bottom line though is, it's just the best studio for drag'n'drop animation out there. Nothing else can adapt to so many different creative minds quite as well as GoAnimate.
If their business was running low, then this site wouldn't exist in like 2 months from now. Wait 2 months or one later, and see if it's still here.
All of the grounded users will keep this place in business, until the kids outgrow their grounded cartoons.
The reason why Xtranormal has temporarily shut down is because they're....extra normal. They don't bring the cutting edge stuff like Go!Animate has.
I think the Site Admins could help explain there financial state a little.
i'm sure there doing fine :)
I don't know, ask the actual site managers.
Maybe ask Dan the handsome
well its a great site but I am not sure
It would do heaps better if it were like YT with third-party ads!!!
@Manny - Making videos, fun and entertainment is our business. :)
Xtranormal and GoAnimate were launched the same year...
No, Go!Animate was launched in 2007, just about a year before Xtranormal...I think. I know Xtranormal came before Go!Animate, though, at least that's what I hear. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I don't know about SuperMario1234, but, according to productivity and functionality, Go!Animate is by far better than the Xtranormal services. The only con is that Go!Animate is in 2d and Xtranormal is in 3D, if that is in fact a con. But, I suspect that soon, Go!Animate will add a 3D feature.
From what I heard, GOA have over 6 million users, if you take away 50% basic users, they still have over 3 million users paying them from the minium 6 bucks to the maxium around 50 bucks a month, you do the math.
